The Cynic Project holds a special place in my heart in comparison to other groups. Alex Smith has been around for a while doing this but i still love all of the tracks. When i first started getting into electronic music years back i downloaded on of his tracks with no idea who the hell it was by. I didnt figure out until recently who was responsible for it. The Cynic Project is unique in that most of the music is very simple yet it is some of the most uplifting and chill trance i have ever heard. This track Cherry Earth is a great example of that. The track is carried along by a soothing synth line which is accompanied by some strings and they work together perfectly. This is another sort of track where the bass and beat is not supposed to be the focus of the song but simply something to help keep the mood flowing. This is definitely not the kind of song you listen to before going out to a party but the kind you listen to when you need to come down from a long day or an awesome night out and just need to relax, decompress and take it all in.
