Whoa-B - Putting The Step Back In Dubstep

This is a whole new game I'm throwing out to you guys.  So far we've only featured single tracks by defined artists in the electronic music scene.

Enter Whoa-B, dubstep DJ extraordinaire.  If his amazing song choices and smooth rhythms don't pull you in, his unparalleled mixing sure as shit will.  He keeps the old school alive and makes the new school thrive, bringing to you sounds from the early 2000s and on.  I feel that this style of dub is not given nearly enough credit for what dubstep as a whole has become, as the more recent sound is one hell of a far cry from it's ancestry.

Chill out to the deep dub bass brought to you by our maestro.

Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding - Wonderman (Bare Noize Remix)

Bare Noize, doing it again!  Raucous rocky synths and punchy bass combine with the poppy vocals of Ms. Goulding to form WONDERMAN, and he's here to fuck shit up in style.  Hit the jump for the music!

Kelis - Brave (Gemini Remix)

When I originally heard this song, I didn't feel compelled to post it because it didn't strike me as amazing; last night, some good acoustics proved me wrong.

SKisM - Elixir

For whatever reason, I've been avoiding SKisM until today.  Probably a few tracks that pushed too close to megatronfuckstep to me.  I don't really hate robostep, but I don't think many people do it well...so I was pleasantly surprised to find this song.  Feels like I'm on Caprica, d00ds.

Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (Zedd Remix)

Anyone who follows the electronic music scene knows that Skrillex is a name that has become very popular very fast.  With the skyrocketing popularity of dubstep, great dub producers such as himself are in a unique place right now for experimentation.  Zedd took his smash hit a step further...

Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin (Grifta Remix) // Morgan Page - The Longest Road feat. Lissie (Grifta Remix)

I can't believe I'd never heard of Grifta before today because this is some truly awesome dub.  Hit the jump to give it a listen and introduce yourself to his fresh sound.  I've given you a couple vids to choose from, one old release and the new track that made me stop and stare.

Doctor P - Big Boss

Every time I play this song I am pretty sure my neighbours hate me [via subwoofer], but I am too busy getting hopped up on narcotics and loud music to care.  Kids today, no respect!

Sub Focus - Smooth // Sub Focus - Coming Closer

The other day it was suggested I post some Sub Focus, so I got to thinking about what about him really did it for me.  After a bit of rooting around I came to the conclusion that I couldn't pick just one tune, so let's go back in time a bit for a Sub Focus double feature.  Chill time after the jump, gogogo!

Dubba Jonny - Dubstep Tutorial VIP

HOLY SHIT, AFTERSHOCKS.  GRAB THE K, WE HAVE TO RIDE THIS ONE OUT.

Hugely massive track here, this rivals some of the most epic stuffs I've heard.  Plus, it's educational; take note US public schools.

Dubba Jonny - A Brief Tutorial On Dubstep Production

The title bares it all for this cleverly disguised monstrosity of a song.  The only suitable companion to the finely crafted, artisan level handmade wobbles of this exquisite example of the most massive of dubstep tracks comes in the form of leaning on your F11.  Haiti would be proud (or terrified, to be determined).

0:43 to be sure.

OH F, SHIT WHAT HAVE I DONE?!
