Joy Orbison - Wet Look

Perhaps some of you are tiring of the recent dubstep craze.  Perhaps you're looking to branch out.  Perhaps you're a newcomer to electronic music and haven't really found a sound you like yet, or even have scorned it all together.  This track could change your mind entirely.

Wet Look is an incredibly unique track matching together the classic dubstep LFO with jazz like synth combined with an interesting drum rhythm.  The way the synth rises, it gives you the feel of breaking through to the surface as if previously submerged underwater.  When you finally breach, the world isn't as you remembered - chaotic and confusing; yet somehow you remain calm trying to make sense of it all.  Don't worry brolos, haven't you been on tripping on peyote for like 5 straight days and couldn't some of this be in your head?

Asa - Catch You (KOAN Sound Remix)

In the same vein as my earlier Mt. Eden post, I have some more chilled out glitchy dub for you.  This one really sent me into a trance.  The quiet clamor of old farm bells, vocals blurred just beyond distinction, the sound of water lapping at the side of your boat...it provides a sort of solace only an artist like Nature herself can top.  I've nothing else to say, just hit the jump and float away.

Ruby Frost and Mt. Eden - Oh That I Had

This is a beautiful, inspired tune from their recent EP.  They made a fan of me with Sierra Leone, a track that still brings up little hiccoughs of emotion.  'Oh That I Had' is another foray into the sweet world peace vibe that they did so well.

Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin (Grifta Remix) // Morgan Page - The Longest Road feat. Lissie (Grifta Remix)

I can't believe I'd never heard of Grifta before today because this is some truly awesome dub.  Hit the jump to give it a listen and introduce yourself to his fresh sound.  I've given you a couple vids to choose from, one old release and the new track that made me stop and stare.

B-Complex - Beautiful Lies VIP

I couldn't resist anymore, a mere mention wasn't enough.  This song needs to be brought to your attention if you haven't heard it already.  Feel free to revisit it if you have, you know how worthwhile it is.  Happy Saturday, here's some liquid.

Sub Focus - Smooth // Sub Focus - Coming Closer

The other day it was suggested I post some Sub Focus, so I got to thinking about what about him really did it for me.  After a bit of rooting around I came to the conclusion that I couldn't pick just one tune, so let's go back in time a bit for a Sub Focus double feature.  Chill time after the jump, gogogo!

Breakfast - Remember

This song always manages to strike the perfect chord with me, regardless of what I may be in the mood for.  Breakfast is an emerging trance producer from my home town, as well as a childhood friend of mine (we're talking 5 or 6 here).  Fruity Looping like a professional has earned him a spot on Ferry Corsten's label as well as a world tour and numerous spots on Armin van Buuren's ASOT.  Overall a fantastic song by a fantastic trance producer; look him up, you won't be disappointed (you will see him here again to be certain).

The perfect song to switch your mood from whatever it may be to relaxed and content, a perfect accompaniment to a great roll, some lucy, and/or your favorite strain all the same.

B-Complex - Blissful Ignorance

I haven't spent nearly enough time in my life listening to beautiful flowing liquid.  I'm seeking to remedy that, and here's why.
