Whoa-B - Putting The Step Back In Dubstep

This is a whole new game I'm throwing out to you guys.  So far we've only featured single tracks by defined artists in the electronic music scene.

Enter Whoa-B, dubstep DJ extraordinaire.  If his amazing song choices and smooth rhythms don't pull you in, his unparalleled mixing sure as shit will.  He keeps the old school alive and makes the new school thrive, bringing to you sounds from the early 2000s and on.  I feel that this style of dub is not given nearly enough credit for what dubstep as a whole has become, as the more recent sound is one hell of a far cry from it's ancestry.

Chill out to the deep dub bass brought to you by our maestro.

UKF Drum & Bass 2010 (Album Megamix)

Nothing fancy today, just click the jump and listen to a great mix.  I don't like a lot of these songs on their own, but this is a fab collection.  Album tracklist after the jump, song tracklist in the video.

Cosmic - Caña

I was reading about some health care bill when I started to listen to this; before my very eyes, it transformed into the ballad of the robot apocalypse.  Well, fine, maybe that was just the song.

Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding - Wonderman (Bare Noize Remix)

Bare Noize, doing it again!  Raucous rocky synths and punchy bass combine with the poppy vocals of Ms. Goulding to form WONDERMAN, and he's here to fuck shit up in style.  Hit the jump for the music!

Kelis - Brave (Gemini Remix)

When I originally heard this song, I didn't feel compelled to post it because it didn't strike me as amazing; last night, some good acoustics proved me wrong.

Zyblot - Come Catch Me

Really pretty little tune; hit the jump to take a listen.

Error & Implex - La Fiesta

Noisia - Machine Gun (Spor Remix)

I've nothing to say, most people have probably heard this by now; it's something like a one year anniversary post.  If you haven't, put two and two together: Noisia is amazing, Spor is amazing, ergo...

Fred V & Grafix - One Of These Days

Here's a Fred V and Grafix joint product.  It's ultra-catchy from :00 on, so I advise just firing it up and seeing what you think.

Adeo - Galaxy Fly

Earlier I noticed that I haven't posted much dnb lately.  I haven't heard enough over the past few days that has really stood out, but I finally found this little guy and couldn't resist.

Ruby Frost and Mt. Eden - Oh That I Had

This is a beautiful, inspired tune from their recent EP.  They made a fan of me with Sierra Leone, a track that still brings up little hiccoughs of emotion.  'Oh That I Had' is another foray into the sweet world peace vibe that they did so well.

Fred V - Catch You

Fred V and Grafix are both producers I'm digging, but right I'm just here to talk about Fred.  I don't know if I can accurately convey how classy I feel this song is.  It has a mysterious noir sound that creates an itch you can never fully scratch.

SKisM - Elixir

For whatever reason, I've been avoiding SKisM until today.  Probably a few tracks that pushed too close to megatronfuckstep to me.  I don't really hate robostep, but I don't think many people do it well...so I was pleasantly surprised to find this song.  Feels like I'm on Caprica, d00ds.

Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin (Grifta Remix) // Morgan Page - The Longest Road feat. Lissie (Grifta Remix)

I can't believe I'd never heard of Grifta before today because this is some truly awesome dub.  Hit the jump to give it a listen and introduce yourself to his fresh sound.  I've given you a couple vids to choose from, one old release and the new track that made me stop and stare.

Desimal - Afterlife

Some great DnB by the late Graham March (aka Desimal). The story goes that this was his last piece of work before committing suicide; he was plagued by paranoid schizophrenia for years prior.  This song is full of emotion and seemingly acts as a suicide note itself.  The words "I'll be gone" come to the forefront through some genius bass and filter modulation. A very excellent producer who deserves much more light shed on his work.  Hit the jump, the song speaks for itself.

B-Complex - Beautiful Lies VIP

I couldn't resist anymore, a mere mention wasn't enough.  This song needs to be brought to your attention if you haven't heard it already.  Feel free to revisit it if you have, you know how worthwhile it is.  Happy Saturday, here's some liquid.

Doctor P - Big Boss

Every time I play this song I am pretty sure my neighbours hate me [via subwoofer], but I am too busy getting hopped up on narcotics and loud music to care.  Kids today, no respect!
